 Speaker's Biography:

Anthony Hutchinson is Public Affairs Officer at the US Consulate General in Hong Kong. A career member of the US senior foreign service, his previous overseas assignments were principally at Chinese-speaking posts: Hong Kong, Taipei, Beijing (two tours), Shanghai; his only non-Chinese posting was in West Africa (Benin). Before coming to Hong Kong from Washington, DC. In 2006, he was director of China analysis in the State Department’s Bureau of Intelligence and Research. He has extensive public diplomacy and policy experience in North-East Asia (greater China, the Korean peninsula, Japan, and Mongolia).
