The College has been serving Hong Kong community since 2003 with quality
programmes that meet the needs of learners, industry and Hong Kong society at
large. It plays a unique role in building up "a real community college of
tertiary education" which provides a caring, interactive and responsive learning
environment in particular in the areas of student articulation for further study
and job/career prospect and advancement. The College aims at strengthening its
significant role in serving and caring the communities in Northwest New
Territories particularly in Tuen Mun and Tin Shui Wai.
Building on its tradition of excellence and liberal arts education, we strive
hard to enrich the community and learners we serve through our innovative
academic programmes and vibrant community and industry partnerships. We will
continue to highlight the “community” in our name and the College's strategic
plan has been refreshed to reflect its commitment to community.
The College offers an array of courses and programmes from a different academic
discipline and professional specialisation to develop expertise, to enhance
literary skills, and to add cultural enrichment. All new programmes have been
developed to the highest standards and subject to the College's stringent
quality assurance process and monitoring.
We have an outstanding professional faculty with rich teaching preparation and
experience. They are committed to nurturing each student’s potential through
trust and respect. This can be seen in their dedication to the philosophy of
providing top quality education in a friendly and interactive atmosphere with
individual attentions to the needs of students. They are devoted to student
success through a wealth of programmes and services, such as academic advice,
transfer and career counseling.
We pride ourselves on our student-centred approach to teaching and offering
stimulating learning environments. Our professional faculty and staff help
provide a dynamic teaching and learning environment that makes intellectual
growth challenging, exciting and fun.
Our class number is kept small to encourage individualised attention. Students
enjoy a variety of organisation and activities and cultural opportunities. The
Student Exchange Programme in Mainland China has been organized in providing a
unique opportunity to widen students’ horizon and acquire a new learning
experience.
Our tuition is affordable too. Full time students may apply for government
student financial assistance e.g. Financial Assistance Scheme for Post-secondary
Students (FASP) and Non-means Tested Loan Scheme for Post-secondary Students (NLSPS).
To recognise outstanding academic performance, the College offers an array of
scholarships including Entrance, Progression and Academic Scholarships.
Our entire campus community revolves around our students and their educational
needs. We recognise that not everyone learns in the same way, or at the same
pace. We focus on the needs of not some but every student. Our teaching and
