Additional Language Courses

General Information

To meet the increasing demand for additional language studies, CEAL offers both credit-bearing and non-credit bearing courses in French, Japanese, and Spanish. These courses last for one term and are offered at two levels: Beginner and Post-Beginner. A Beginner and a Post-Beginner level Russian courses are also offered on a non-credit bearing status.

Note 1: For enrolment in Post-Beginner courses, students are required to have already taken the Beginner course or have completed 42 hours of approved study in an equivalent course.

Note 2: Priority is given according to the seniority of students, with final year students being given first priority, but year 1 students can enrol.

Note 3: For non-credit bearing courses, please note that an Unsatisfactory grade will be given to students who do not meet the attendance requirement or who miss assessments or who do not meet the course requirements. Please note that an Unsatisfactory grade will not affect the GPA, but will appear on the transcript.

For information about course registration and fees, please email addlang@ln.edu.hk or contact Mr Kevin LAW in AR309.
