In line of the strategic development of the University to promote inter-university and inter-faculty taught master postgraduate studies programmes to further enhance international profile and promote better multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary learning for students, the Senior Management of the University has decided to establish a Division of Graduate Studies to oversee new development of postgraduate programmes under the line management of the Vice President. More specifically, the major roles of the Division of Graduate Studies are as below:
- Working closely with the Taught Master Programme Teams of three Faculties to perform a central coordinating role in developing, promoting and governing newly launched inter-university and inter-faculty taught master programmes.
- Working closely with Taught Master Programme Directors together to co-develop activities to establish a stronger Learning Community and expand the learning space for enhancing student learning at Lingnan University.
- Seeking proactive collaboration with leading institutions in the regional and international academic communities to co-organize research activities/ seminars/summer institutes to enhance postgraduate student learning further raising the international profile for Lingnan Univerisity.
- Working closely with Master Programme Teams, the Registry, Office of Global Education, Office of Communications and Public Affairs, and other relevant units to position the University in postgraduate studies in the local, regional and international contexts and to maximize synergy and collaboration.
