About Us
Council and Court Business
  • Serve as secretariat of the University Council and Court and provide secretarial support to the standing committees under the Council
Administration
  • Administer the “Vincent Woo Distinguished Visiting Scholars Programme” and “Dr & Mrs James Wu Awards for Outstanding Service”
  • Organize conferences, seminars and workshops to promote awareness of issues related to the interest of staff, students and the University as a whole e.g. issues on sexual harassment, corruption prevention, etc.
Donations
  • Maintain a central register of the donations received by all departments/units of the University as required by the ICAC
Liaison with Government and Statutory Bodies
  • Attend to LegCo questions and liaise with Government bodies like UGC, EDB, ICAC, EOC (Equal Opportunities Committee), etc.
Legal Matters
  • Liaise with legal advisers for legal proceedings concerning the University and seek legal advice from time to time as warranted by situations
  • Assist in drafting or giving comments on agreements/ undertakings between various units/departments of the University and outside institutions
Disciplinary Procedures
  • Administer disciplinary/investigative procedures when such cases arise
