IBF612 Selected Topics in Banking and Finance

Course Description:
This course will provide an overall understanding of the different aspects of the banking and finance sector through selective seminars and lectures. Specifically, it will cover the topics in brokerage operation process, insurance markets, direct banking, equity capital markets, start-up financing and venture capital, investment banking, compliance in financial institutions, ethical issues in financial services industry and so on. Upon the completion of this course, students will develop a broad understanding and strong analytical skills of the different dimensions and functions of the banking and finance sector.
