Teaching and Classroom Support

User Guideline

 

Support Services

  1. Request must be submitted to ITSC MM/AV office at MB203/6 (2/F, Patrick Lee Wan Keung Academic Building ) at least 1 week in advance. A request will be cancelled 30 minutes after the appointed time.

  2. All equipment should be checked out and returned at appointed venue.

  3. Users are responsible for the loss and damage of equipment and should check the equipment before leaving.

  4. Additional time should be reserved for equipment setup before the function (at least 1 hour), and equipment retrieving after the function (at least 1 hour) when booking the venue.

  5. For Photo Shooting, photos will be sent back to users after 3 working days.

  6. For Video Shooting, video tape should be prepared by users and the recorded tape will be returned to user immediately after the function.

  7. All ITSC policies should be applied alongside with this application.

Multimedia Services

  1. Booking of Multimedia Booth:

    - In order to use Multimedia Booth, please submit the application through [Room Booking System] via intranet portal or https://smartapp.ln.edu.hk/Lingnan. The booking system is available for all existing Lingnan staffs and students.
    - Booking is limited to maximum of 2 items a day and a total of 10 items per week.
    - Booking will be served by First Come First Serve.
    - The Multimedia Booth will be released to others if the user does not show up after 30 minutes.
    - Reservation rules and regulations will be subject to change without prior notices.
    - Library and ITSC reserves the right to cancel any bookings without prior notices.

  2. For using the Video Editing equipment:

    - Please create a new folder in the "DATA" hard disk.
    - Please make sure all your files are located in your own folder.
    - Please be recommended to create a word file to leave your contact information ("Student Name" / "User Name", "Email" and "Contact phone number") in your own folder, to let us contact you.
    - If ITSC cannot find your contact information, your files will DELETE without any notification.
    - Due to the limited hard disk capacity, please do not leave any unnecessary files and delete all your files after finishing your work.
    - Please be recommended to backup all your files before you leave.
    - Please be reminded that ITSC will DELETE the files that have not been used for 30 days without any notice.
    - Be considerate, please do not DELETE any files out of your own folder, otherwise other user may lose their work.
    - If you find that there is not enough hard disk capacity, please call ITSC Services Hotline 2616-7995 (Press 2 for AV Services).

  3. Equipment Remote Control and Operation Manual are available for loan at the Circulation Counter at 1/F of Library.

  4. Please be reminded that Multimedia Booths provide limited support on High Definition (HD).

  5. User is responsible for replacement at cost of loss or damage of media or equipment and should check the equipment before leaving.

  6. All illegal use, duplication, dissemination of software or other digital material is strictly prohibited on university computing resources.

  7. All ITSC policies should be applied alongside with this application.

Equipment On-loan Services

  1. Request must be submitted to ITSC MM/AV office at MB203/6 (2/F, Patrick Lee Wan Keung Academic Building ) at least 3 working days in advance. A request will be cancelled 30 minutes after the specified collection time.

  2. Equipment on-loan must be returned within 3 working days.

  3. All equipment should be checked out and returned at ITSC MM/AV office at MB203/6 (2/F, Patrick Lee Wan Keung Academic Building ). Remember to bring along your Lingnan ID card when you pick up the equipment. Student should collect / return the equipment in person.   

  4. A late return fee of $50 per item per day will be charged after the due date.   

  5. Users are responsible for the loss and damage of equipment on-loan and should check the equipment before leaving.
