AV Equipment in Teaching Venue: There are fixed equipment in all the teaching venues such as lecture theatres and classrooms. If you want to check the seating capacity, the desktop configuration and software installed, please follow this link

If you required additional specialized audio-visual facilities, please contact us well before your lecture to ensure that we can meet your requirements. Once again, our extension is 7998.

Demonstrations: ITSC offers demonstration/briefing sessions on the use of the equipment. A quick practice run-through will ensure you are familiar with the equipment and will deliver a smooth, professional presentation. Briefing sessions are usually conducted at the beginning of each semester or you can arrange a private session with our technicians. Furthermore, simple manuals/operational guide are posted on the top of the audio-visual rack in each classroom.

Professional Advice: ITSC offers professional advice on any purchase / replacement of audio-visual Equipment.

Audio Recording: Academics can book ITSC's Audio Recording Room (2/F of the General Education Building) for professional recording for preparation of course and examination materials.

Equipment On-Loan: Audio-visual Equipment and notebooks are available for loan at our office. Academics, students and Student Societies can also borrow some of the AV equipment for conferences, seminars, course presentation, and ceremonies…etc. Usually, we expect our users to collect and return the equipment themselves. Events / Functions / Projects: ITSC will provide venue setup, photographic & video recording services and standby technical support for both University / Departmental / Project-based events/functions held on- or off-campus, such as Open Day, University Orientation Programme, Congregation, Signing Ceremonies and special events organized by Departments/Research Centres, as long as we are given sufficient notice. Multimedia Booth at the Library: Multimedia booths are set up on 1/F Library, including innovative interactive media incorporating DVDs, CD-ROMs, Web-based Videos and Digital Video Production, Video Editing, VCD Production, Color Scanning, Audio Dubbing, Video Dubbing and Video format Conversion.

Teaching Venues: All lecture theatres and classrooms are housed with standard AV facilities including Public Address System, Wired Microphone, Cassette Player, VHS Player, DVD / VCD / CD Player, LCD Projector, Overhead Projector, Projector Screen and PC. More information here

Language Labs: The Language Lab System facilitates either independent work by students and instructor-led learning via audio cassette playback and recording through headsets. The Language Lab also has video and computer capabilities. Students sitting at their own partitions can receive video programming from the console. These partitions have a computer and tape deck. Computer Labs: Computer Labs are equipped with Internet Links, Public Address System and LCD Projector for both data and video projection to enhance teaching. More information here

Equipment On-Loan: The pool of equipment includes Notebooks, LCD Projectors, Overhead Projectors, Visualizers, Digital Cameras, Digital Videos, 2-in-1 TV, Public Address systems, and Microphones…etc. More information here


Bookings

TV Studio / Audio Recording Room: You can submit your bookings (at least one week in advance for supporting staff) to make all the necessary preparations and arrangements. Please download the booking application form. After completing the form, you can drop it off at our office or fax it to us at 24613610. You will receive an email message if your booking is confirmed. Equipment On-Loan: Should be made well in advance (at least one week) to ensure proper testing before delivery and set up, especially in the case of large-scale events with a combination of AV equipment required.
You can book our equipment by completing the downloadable form. This will provide us with a printed record of the booking, and for this reason we do not accept telephone bookings. If the booking is accepted, we will send you a confirmation email.

Multimedia Booths: The application form is available on 1/F Library.
