VPN Connection


SSL VPN (Secure Sockets Layer Virtual Private Network) allows users to remotely access restricted network resources via a secure and authenticated pathway by encrypting all network traffic and giving the appearance that the user is on the local network, regardless of geographic location of the user.

Lingnan SSL VPN is available for staff members and students of the University.

If you are using IE on Windows 7/8 OR Safari on Mac OS X, the VPN software client can be downloaded, installed and configured automatically by clicking the [Start] button after logging in either one of the following links :

https://staffvpn.ln.edu.hk   (for staff)  OR
https://studentvpn.ln.edu.hk   (for students)


On other computer platforms, please download and install the corresponding software client installer on this page:

On mobile devices, please search and install "Pulse Secure" from App Store (for iOS) or Google Play Store (for Android). Input one of the following URLs to add new connection in the Configuration page:

https://staffvpn.ln.edu.hk   (for staff) OR
https://studentvpn.ln.edu.hk   (for students)


Logon to the VPN services with your Lingnan username and password.



Note: Please visit https://vpn.ln.edu.hk to access the old VPN system which will be decommissioned by the end of 2015
