The university-wide anit-spam policy will be changed from the current "tag-and-deliver" approach to a "quarantine" approach.
Details are as follows:
- All suspected spam (junk) mails currently labelled as [SPAM:HIGH] and [SPAM:MEDIUM] will no longer be delivered to users mailboxes by default.
- All those suspected spam emails will be stored in two centralised quarantine areas of the Sophos Spam Control system.
- Instead of delivering suspected spam emails to your mailbox, the system will send you a daily spam summary at 7 am and at 4 pm from sender "sophos-am@ln.edu.hk" and "sophos-pm@ln.edu.hk" respectively.
- Users are recommended to check both daily spam summaries. If there are any genuine emails which have been quarantined, you can manually release them.
For release procedures, please see http://www.ln.edu.hk/itsc/ics/user-guides/spam
