The appointee is a key member of the seniormanagement team of the Community College and LIFE. The appointee will assist the Dean of the Community College and Further Education in the overall coordination and management of academic matters, and be responsible for managing a wide range of academic administration activities: including student registrations, assessment and examinations, graduation ceremonies, admission of local and non-local students, student exchange programmes and articulation policies and arrangements. He/She will serve as a key person to coordinate the development of a new system and student database for timetabling, registration and examination records. He/She will also be responsible for the quality assurance matters, and serve as secretary to committees and play a significant role in the implementation and review of academic regulations and policies as well as programmes administration.
Requirements: (i) a recognized higher degree, preferably a doctoral degree holder; (ii) at least 10 years’ relevant working experience, preferably gained in tertiary institutions; (iii) good interpersonal and communication skills with an excellent command of both English and Chinese (including Putonghua). Experience in dealing with academic registry and quality assurance in the sub-degree sector will be an advantage.

Salary and Fringe Benefits:
The commencing salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits, where applicable, include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, mandatory provident fund and gratuity. The appointment will normally be made on a 2-year contract with the possibility of renewal.
