The appointee will be mainly responsible for (a) organizing intergenerational programmes; (b) assisting in research projects (e.g. drafting research proposals and reports, collecting and analyzing data for research activities); (c) assisting in conferences, workshops, seminars, and other teaching programmes; (d) maintaining the Institute’s information corner; and (e) facilitating daily office operation.
Requirements: (i) a relevant postgraduate qualification (preferably major in social research) with proficiency in using SPSS or statistical software; (ii) at least 3 years’ experience in programme or activities operation involving elderly people and children; (iii) substantial work experience in supervising a small team of staff, self-directed and motivated; (iv) good interpersonal, organizational and communication skills; and (v) good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese. Preference will be given to candidates with journal editing experience.
Salary and Benefits:
Depending on the appointee’s qualifications and experience, the appointment will be made at the level of either Senior Project Officer (around HK$19,800.- to HK$27,900.-) or Project Officer (around HK$12,300.- to HK$19,800.-). Commencing salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits, where applicable, include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, mandatory provident fund and gratuity.
