Shanghai-Hong Kong Future Leaders (Lingnan Elites) Internship Program 2017 kicks off

The “Shanghai-Hong Kong Future Leaders (Lingnan Elites) Internship Programme 2017”, co-organised by Lingnan University and the Hongkong-Shanghai Economic Development Association, will arrange 21 Lingnan students to take up summer internship at prominent corporations in Shanghai for seven weeks from late May.  A launching ceremony was held on 27 April on the University’s campus.

 

Enterprises participating in the internship programme are leaders in the fields of marketing and multimedia, allowing students to experience working in the fastest-growing sectors of Mainland China.  Prominent enterprises and multinational corporations participating in the programme include Oriental DreamWorks, East Money Information Co Ltd, Shanghai Media Group Limited, Always (Shanghai) Marketing Services Co Ltd, Telford Wine & Spirits (Shanghai) Limited, Whaley as well as new joins this year: Chong Bang Group and Ipsos Business Consulting.

 

Officiating guests of the ceremony included Mr Andrew Yao Cho-fai, Hong Kong Deputy to the National People’s Congress and President of the Hongkong-Shanghai Economic Development Association, Mrs Kim Yeh, Vice-President of Hongkong-Shanghai Economic Development Association, Dr Terence Chan, Executive Committee Member of the Hongkong-Shanghai Economic Development Association as well as President Leonard K Cheng, Prof Joshua Mok Ka-ho, Vice-President and Dr Li Dong-hui, Assistant Vice-President (Student Affairs) of Lingnan University.

 

President Cheng expressed his appreciation and hearty thanks to all supporting parties and organisations.  In addition, he encouraged Lingnan students to make the best of the opportunity to widen their perspective, broaden their horizon, and enhance both their personal and work profile for taking up future challenges.
