Faculty of Business hosts summer programmes for two institutions in Mainland China

The Faculty of Business hosted the “2017 Zhejiang University Ningbo Institute of Technology (NIT) Summer Programme” from 3 to 9 July and the “2017 Hubei University of Economics (HBUE) School of Finance Summer Programme” from 10 to 16 July.  23 undergraduates of NIT and 48 undergraduates of HBUE participated in these two one-week programmes respectively.

Through courses and company visits in Hong Kong, these summer programmes aim to broaden horizons of Mainland teachers and students, enrich their knowledge on the development of Hong Kong as a financial and economic hub, as well as getting to know more about Lingnan.

Our professors from Department of Accountancy, Department of Finance and Insurance, Department of Management, and Department of Marketing and International Business were invited to give insightful lectures on various topics ranging from Hong Kong taxation, stock market, financial and monetary systems, financial management skills, leadership, consumer behaviour to marketing strategy.

Visits to Hong Kong Monetary Authority, Hong Kong Stock Exchange, Legislative Council Complex, AIA Centre and CLP Power Hong Kong Limited were also arranged for the participants, allowing them to know more about the functions and operations of these organisations and companies in Hong Kong.
