Issue No. 71 Sep 2017
The special film screening - The Last Animals, organised by Core Curriculum and General Education Office and Science Unit, was held on 7 September. It attracted around 80 participants including Lingnan students and staff.
The Last Animals was documented and directed by Kate Brooks, a famous American photo-journalist, who had come in person to share her memorable filming experience about the complex situation of protecting critically endangered wild elephants and rhinos against illegal poachers and international trade. In-depth discussions were generated, challenging students to think more broadly and deeply about animal and environmental protection.
