Minor in Financial Services Marketing
Effective from 2008-09 Academic Year

All non-BBA students who wish to pursue the Minor in Financial Services Marketing
are required to complete 15 credits (5 courses) listed below to fulfill the requirements of this Minor:



 Required Courses  (1 course, 3 credits) 

MKT214  Marketing for Financial Services


Elective Courses  (12 credits / FOUR courses)

           * Choose any TWO of the following courses:

BUS108 Global Business Environment  
        ( or ECO101 Introduction to Economics or  ECO215 Comparative Studies of International Financial Centre )

MKT201 Buyer Behaviour

MKT211 Business to Business Marketing

MKT311 Salesmanship and Sales Management


And

** Choose any TWO of the following courses:

BUS201 Financial Management

RIM201 Principles of Insurance

RIM250 Personal Risk and Financial Planning

FIN251 Practical Personal Investment

 Notes:

As MKT214 Marketing for Financial Services is designed at a level similar to BUS205 Marketing Management, minor students who have passed MKT214 will be exempted from the pre-requisite requirement of MKT201, MKT211 and MKT311.

**  The minor students are recommended to take at least one RIM course from the Finance and Insurance courses.


With a view to limiting the extent of double counting of courses, a student can be exempted from taking a maximum of one course of 3 credits in fulfilling his/her minor programme requirements, on the basis of completion of the course(s) offered by the University.
