| SEP Training -- Session 2 "Active Listening" |
8 November 2010 |
28 students participated in the November 8, 2010 Active Listening Workshop. We have learned the importance of having an open mind and willing to listen to the others in a team deicsion situation. Despite of limitation in timing, we have great fun with the "Lost at Sea" survival game. All teams managed to improve their decision by working as a team. We have shared the key principles of Active Listening and the importance of observing body languages and what have not been said! Please find photos of our workshop by visiting our album.
| Information Day 2010 |
30 October 2010 |
Many thanks for the team work by our SEP members. We have received over 350 visitors on INFO day - October 30, 2010. We have show them the dynamic learning experience of MIB with the Cola War case study, Hong Kong Television advertising review for 1970-2010, HK4As Student Creative award entries, colorful student project assignments and professional Faculty publications. Visitors were encouraged to take our Multiple Intelligence test to gain more insights on themselves at BUG19. Our student Ambassadors then explained our academic program and answered their questions on the career options for our MIB graduates using our interactive exhibits and Department pamphlet. The project team have not only learned many important event management skills. We have put them into real life application and earned precious friendship among all the MIB volunteers. You can see our big smile, quality exhibits and engaging presentation in our photos.
| SEP Training --Session 1 "How We Think" |
18 October 2010 |
The first training session for SEP students took place at MBG07 yesterday on October 18, 2010. We started the program with an ice -breaking game "Who Am I". Some of the description that students gave themselves were hilarious and most of them managed to get the identity right after some guessing. We have a good laugh while learning about the Johari window. Students were asked to develop their own personal learning program based on the Leadership EQ survey finding. The next training session will take place on November 8 at MBG01 starting from 5:00pm to 6:00pm.
| SEP Welcoming Session |
28 September 2010 |
Over 40 marketing students attended the first SEP meeting on September 28, 2010 at MBG19 from 6:00-7:05pm. The SEP coordinator Steve Tong did an overview of SEP, key initiatives in the next 10 months, how one can participate and their team assignment. Students were introduced to their team leaders and urged to discuss their training needs and project interest over the next few days. We would like to thank Hilary Chung, Brain Chan, Timothy Wong, Eugene Chan, Candy Cheng and Rebecca Li for their leadership in department service.
| HK4As Creative Showcase |
9 September 2010 |
A total of 13
SEP members attended the event
which professional creative heads of Leo Burnett and GREY presented
their Cannes Lion awards winning communication concepts. We have
learned a lot on the creative approaches and how to answer to a
marketing challenge. The Lingnan University MIB SEP group is
celebrating the occasion with Angela Ng, CEO of HK4As after the
event.
