Our Vision
Lingnan aims to excel as a globally recognised liberal arts university. Central to the University’s international profile are its rich and diverse culture and its consciousness of the need to enhance its international character and perspectives.
The interconnecting priorities for our internationalisation activities are to foster our international network, expand our students’ international horizons, actively integrate local and non-local students into our campus, attract more quality non-local students to pursue undergraduate studies at Lingnan and facilitate faculty members’ interaction with international universities and institutions. As a liberal arts university that emphasises its students’ whole-person development, we are working to differentiate the Lingnan student experience as engaging, motivating and globally oriented. Moreover, the Office of Global Education (OGE) provides full support to the global learning experience of the Bachelor of Liberal Arts in Global Development and Sustainability programme. We also strive to pursue excellence and enhance our quality of teaching, learning and research by fostering strategic partnerships with members of the Alliance of Asian Liberal Arts Universities (AALAU) and the Global Liberal Arts Alliance (GLAA)..
We operate in an international context and this must be reflected in all areas of our University life, from our students and faculty members to our curriculum and extra-curricular activities, as well as our collaborations that transcend national boundaries.
