Accommodation

All exchange students are required to live on-campus and share room with a local student during the entire period of study at Lingnan University. There are a total of 6 student hostels providing residential places to 1500 students in air-conditioned rooms, each of them shared by two students. All residents shall be subject to the same hostel rules and regulations as listed at http://www.ln.edu.hk/ssc/campuslife/hostel/rules/index.html

The hostels are divided into two zones:

(a) Southern Hostels (Hostels A, B, C & D)

(b) Northern Hostels (Hostels E & F)

 

 

Each occupant shares an air-conditioned student room, at approximately 110 sq ft, with one student and is furnished with:

• 1 cabinet
• 1 desk and chair
• 1 single bed (6’ long)*
• Free LAN service connected to the University’s network system
• Free electricity
• Air-conditioning fee will be shared by two roommates in the same room

Linen Set

For exchange students, you can choose to bring your own, buy a new set or loan a dry-cleaned set. Please be kindly reminded that you have to show your preference in the application form of the Student Exchange Programme and late requests may not be entertained.

For those non-local students who are pursuing a degree at Lingnan University, you are required to bring your own linen set for living in student hostel.

 

Facilities of Student Hostels

In each hostel, there is/are:

• restrooms and showers shared by all the floor occupants
• a common lounge
• a pantry on each floor
• a game room
• a multi-purpose room
• a committee room
• a television room
• a laundry area

No telephone is provided in the bedroom, but you can use the telephone at the common area of the hostel.
