Arrival Pick-up Service

As the Orientation Programme is usually held one week before the start of classes, new students are recommended to arrive at Lingnan accordindly. Representative(s) from the OMIP will pick up new non-local students from the following ports of entry at the designated arrival dates in August and January in the Fall (1st) and Spring (2nd) Terms respectively:


(i) Hong Kong International Airport
(ii) East Rail Line - Fanling Railway Station
(iii) East Rail Line- Hung Hom Railway Station

 

Meet Lingnan Representative(s)

Our representative(s) carrying a signage of “Lingnan University” will be waiting for you at the following appropriate arriving passengers’ exits:

In the event that you do not meet up with the representative(s), simply make your way to the central part of the large Arrivals Hall (in the area in front of “7-Eleven” Convenience Store) where our representative(s) will look for you.
East Rail Line - Fanling Railway Station Please proceed to the escalator or lift to the second floor.

Look for our representative(s) carrying a signage of “Lingnan University” in front of the Maxims MX Fast Food Restaurant who will lead you to our shuttle bus.

East Rail Line - Hung Hom Railway Station

Please proceed to the lobby after passing through the Arrival Immigration.

Look for our representative(s) carrying a signage of “Lingnan University” just outside the exit who will lead you to our shuttle bus.


Make Your Own Way to Lingnan University

To get to Lingnan University, you have two choices of ways to come to the University – by bus or taxi:

Hong Kong International Airport

Take Airbus No. E33 (0530-2400 hours) at the Airport Ground Transportation Centre to Tuen Mun Town Centre Bus Terminus (about HK$14), then by taxi to Lingnan (about HK$30). The whole journey will take you about 1 hour and 20 minutes.

If you arrive after midnight, you may take Airbus No. N30 (twice a day at 00:20 a.m. and 1:10 a.m.) to Tuen Mun Town Plaza Bus Terminus (about HK$27), then by taxi to Lingnan University (about HK$30). The whole journey takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Take a red or green taxi (green is cheaper than the red in your case) at the Airport Terminus to Lingnan University which takes about 40-45 minutes and it costs about HK$270-300 (inclusive of bridge/tunnel fees).

In addition, a HK$5 (red taxi)/HK$4 (green taxi) will be charged per piece of luggage.

East Rail Line - Fanling Railway Station

Take MTR and get off at Sheung Shui Station (It takes about 3 mins from Fanling to Sheung Shui.)

Take Kowloon Motor Bus (K.M.B.) No. 261 to “Sam Shing (三聖)” outside the Sheung Shui Station (HK$12), then drop off at the “Lingnan University” stop.

The whole journey will take you about 35 minutes.

Take a green taxi from the Station to Lingnan University which takes about 30-35 minutes and it costs about HK$100-150.

In addition, a HK$4 will be charged per piece of luggage.

(Remark: Some local taxi drivers do not speak and/or understand English/Putonghua.)

East Rail Line - Hung Hom Railway Station

You may change to the East Rail Line (東鐵) inside the Hung Hom Railway Station to go to Mong Kok East (旺角東) (HK$3.2).

Then get on Kowloon Motor Bus (KMB) No. 67X next to the Mongkok station to “Siu Hong (兆康)” (HK$11.3), then drop off at the “Lingnan University” stop. The whole journey will take you about 1 hour.

Take a red taxi from the Hung Hom Railway Station to Lingnan University which takes about 35-40 minutes and it costs about HK$200-250.

In addition, a HK$5 will be charged per piece of luggage.
