Application Procedures and Deadlines

Step 1

To learn more about the Student Exchange Programmes offered in Lingnan by participating in the coming information sessions on Student Exchange Programmes from 28 September to 26 October 2011. Consider your option and identify those institutions that fit in with your study plan, interest and budget.

Arrange your schedule to sit for the language requirement test(s) as soon as possible.

 

Step 2

Submit a completed Student Exchange Programmes Application Form together with an essay and recommendation from a faculty member and other supporting documents to OMIP during the application period from 3 October to 4 Novermber 2011. The deadline for application is 5:30p.m. on 4 November 2011. (Please bring 3 copies of the whole application form including all supporting documents to OMIP)

IMPORTANT: Prior to completing the application forms, please take sufficient time to go through the catalogs (calendars) and other information (e.g. factsheets, evaluations of returned participants) of host institutions available in the Office of Mainland and International Programmes. You should also study the most updated information available on the websites of host institutions.

Do consider seriously when you fill in each of your choices and only put down those you would actually accept if you are given an offer. It is very unlikely that we would consider any request for change, should you are recommended for the choice you indicated in your application form.

It would be a good idea to discuss your intention to participate in the Exchange Programmes with your Head of Department, Programme Director, and/or Academic Advisor, and consult them on the selection of courses.

Note: Incomplete applications will not be accepted.

 

Step 3

Prepare yourself for interviews to be held in late November 2011.

 

Step 4

Submit your TOEFL or IELTS score report by 5:30p.m. on 9 January 2012 if you apply for International partner institutions.

 

Step 5

Application result will be released by late January 2012.
