Course of Study and Graduation

Depending on your own programme requirements, you can take courses at the overseas institutions as equivalents to your major required or elective subjects, free electives, or general education subjects.

If you choose your course of study overseas very carefully, you will most likely graduate on time. However, you need to be aware that this may not always be possible and you might have to study an additional term at Lingnan to graduate.

You should carefully review your programme of study at Lingnan to see if there is any hurdle that would prevent you from studying abroad. It would be wise to discuss the matter with your Head of Department, Programme Director, and/or Academic Advisor when making the application.

Transfer of Credits and Grades

Approvals must be sought IN ADVANCE for the courses enrolled at the overseas institutions.

The University Senate resolved that the credits earned at the overseas institutions will be transferred back to Lingnan, but the grades obtained will be NOT be counted in your GPA at Lingnan.
