Lingnan University’s Rugby Team won two prizes in recent tournaments.

 Founded in 2006, Lingnan University’s rugby team has been outstanding in its performance and making a name for itself among university players. The team consists of eight local and seven non-local players. Hong Kong Rugby Football Union Tertiary 7's (Beginners') Tournament (25 Nov 2008) 

• Plate Champion – 1st runner-up

Standard Chartered Bank Hong Kong Rugby Football Union Beginners' Rugby 7's Tournament (18 Jan 2009)

• Shield Champion – 3rd runner-up

Organised by the Hong Kong Rugby Football Union (HKRFU), the annual tournaments are participated by local tertiary institutions. The latest matches attracted teams from The University of Hong Kong, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong Baptist University, City University of Hong Kong, The Hong Kong Institute of Education, The Open University of Hong Kong and Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education.
