Three Students Named Best In International Conference


14 Lingnan students attended the Hong Kong Model United Nations Conference 2009 on 15 to 18 January 2009 at The Chinese University of Hong Kong with 400 local and overseas university students where they participated in discussions on global issues such as disease control, food crisis, microfinance and crime against humanity. Three Lingnan students were awarded:

Best Reporter Award  Jonathan Michael Macdonald (left) and Kang Shuchang’s outstanding performance as Israel representatives on the discussion on freedom of speech has won them the Best Delegation Award.

Hong Kong Model United Nations Conference is an annual event organised by Hong Kong Model United Nations with the support of the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China in Hong Kong. It aims to provide student with the capacity to understand international politics.
