Paul G. Harris is professor of international and environmental studies. He is director of the Environmental Studies Programme, director of the Centre for Asian Pacific Studies, director of the Project on Environmental Change and Foreign Policy and a fellow of the Centre for Public Policy Studies here at Lingnan University. He has served for many years on committees of the Environmental Studies Section of the International Studies Association. He is a member of the editorial board of the International Journal of Global Warming, the guest editor of a special issue of the Cambridge Review of International Affairs on "The Politics of Climate Change" (to be published in December 2008), and a peer reviewer for a range of professional journals and scholarly publishers.

Professor Harris's research on global environmental politics, foreign policy, international ethics and other aspects of international affairs has been published widely in academic journals. He is author or editor of a number of books, including International Equity and Global Environmental Politics (Ashgate), Climate Change and American Foreign Policy (St. Martin's Press/Palgrave), The Environment, International Relations, and U.S. Foreign Policy (Georgetown University Press), International Environmental Cooperation (University Press of Colorado), Global Warming and East Asia (Routledge), Confronting Environmental Change in East and Southeast Asia (United Nations University Press/Earthscan), Europe and Global Climate Change (Edward Elgar), The Global Politics of AIDS (Lynne Rienner, co-edited with Patricia Siplon), Environmental Change and Foreign Policy (Routledge, forthcoming), Climate Change and Foreign Policy (Routledge, forthcoming) and The Politics of Climate Change (Routledge, forthcoming). He is writing a book on global justice and climate change.

He has served as a visiting lecturer of Asian International Relations at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and before coming to Hong Kong he was a faculty member at universities in Britain and the United States.
