Q1: What is the duration of the EMBA Programme?

The normal duration for the programme is eighteen months. The maximum period of study for the EMBA is four years.

Q2: Is there any exemption to be granted?

Yes, possibly there is exemption granted. Candidates are required to apply to the Director of the EMBA Programme. For further information, please contact our co-coordinator at embaprog@ln.edu.hk

Q3: Is there any examinations in the courses? How is the grade be determined?

Examinations are conducted subject to specific requirements of the courses. The grade for a course is obtained by aggregating the results of continuous assessment and the final examination, the weighting and format of which are described in the relevant syllabus. Students are required to complete all course work, prescribed tests and examinations.

Q4: What is the perquisite for admission?

An applicant for admission should normally fulfill the following conditions:

1. Possess a recognised undergraduate degree of good standing; and

2. Have a minimum of five years employment in a managerial or professional; and

3. Be supported by at least two letters of recommendation.

Q5: Is the EMBA Programme offered exclusively for executives from Eagle Star Assurance Co. Ltd.?

EMBA is initially an in-house programme for executives of the Eagle Star Assurance Co. Ltd. However, since year 2002 we have already opened the programme to the executives across the industries.
