In an ever-changing and competitive society, university students have to equip themselves for their future careers. To better prepare them for such career challenges, the Student Services Centre launches a specially designed ¡§Lingnanian Career Mentoring Programme¡¨ (LCMP).
Lingnan alumni from different career fields are invited to be mentors of final year students. The mentors will share with mentees their life experience and success stories in academic study and career building. In particular, the alumni will provide updated career information and professional advice to mentees throughout their FINAL year of study

One-day Career Visit to Pearl River Delta (12 Jan 2008)
To familiarize students with the working situations and opportunities in the mainland, a One-day Career Visit to Pearl River Delta was organised on 12 January 2008 for the LCMP mentors and mentees. Two buses of 72 mentors, mentees and SSC staff met with representatives of the two companies, namely the China South City Holdings Ltd. and Star Shine Cargo Service (Shenzhen) Co. Ltd. (a subsidiary of Maersk (HK) Ltd.) This was a gathering function which enabled mentors and mentees to exchange ideas with each other, especially on the theme of the visit. All participating mentees reflected that they understood more about working in the mainland and knew how to make necessary preparations for the job hunt.
