The Student Services Centre assists students to make informed career choices commensurate with their talents, interests and aptitude in preparation for employment after graduation. Career talks, exhibitions and recruitment activities are held during the year to provide the latest job market information to students. Reference materials, including the reports on employment surveys of recent graduates, are available in the Main Library as well as in the Student Services Centre.
Information on full-time and part-time job vacancies is disseminated through the Joint Institution Job Information System (JIJIS), an online database which is shared and developed by the leading tertiary institutions in Hong Kong. Students can access JIJIS from terminals on campus as well as from their computers at home as soon as they register with JIJIS for their own unique username and password.
The Student Services Centre also work in partnerships with academic departments, employers and alumni to provide career education programmes and job preparation training to students. Workshops like resume writing, mock interview sessions, mock written tests, job interview skills, image building, personal grooming and business etiquette will be held during the year. Dates of the workshops will be posted on the Centre's Career Services notice board and also on the web. Students who wish to seek advice on career choices and job applications, may approach our career officers to discuss your concerns.
Please check the Centre's web site and your email regularly for the most up-to-date career programmes. Notices of career programmes will also be posted on the notice boards located on the G/F, Social Sciences Building.
