Welcome to Lingnan University in the coming summer!

Would you like to make good use of part of your summer time to earn university credits and immerse in a liberal arts environment?  We welcome enrollments from local and non-local undergraduate students, associate degree students, overseas students of our partner institutions and persons with equivalent qualifications.

General Information

Most of the courses are credit-bearing and will be taught by experienced staff of the University. These courses are offered under an intensive mode and with teaching hours comparable to regular undergraduate courses. Moreover, summer school students are offered to use the University facilities during the study period. Students can enjoy hostel life and experience Lingnan's unique liberal arts education.

Gaining Credits Recognition and Transfer of Credits

A student who satisfactorily completes a credit-bearing summer course will be awarded academic credits by the University.

The student can make use of the University credits gained to apply for transfer of credits to other tertiary institutions, subject to relevant policies of individual institution.

For Associate Degree Students and Graduates: A head start for Undergraduate Degree studies

The credits earned in the Summer School would normally be recognized if the student is successfully articulated into the undergraduate programmes of Lingnan University. Students can apply for credit transfer or exemption of courses when admitted to our undergraduate degree programme. Summer School helps students to establish a stronger foundation and greater flexibility in scheduling their undergraduate degree studies.

For Students of Partner Tertiary Institutions

Application form can be downloaded from the Office of Mainland and International Programmes (OMIP) website. Duly completed application form and visa application form should be submitted to OMIP on or before Wednesday, 6 March 2013.
