Food for Thought series (Lunchtime Seminars) 'Food for Thought', a series of informal lunch hour discussion
sessions, provides a forum for the exchange of ideas about teaching and
learning. Each session begins with a brief description of some pedagogical
strategy or issue shared by colleagues or students, then followed by
discussions and comments. Thus, the sessions have focus, but informal
discussion constitutes the primary mode of discourse. " How Do We Enhance Our Students' English Language Skills?" Christmas IT Luncheon for Lingnan Teachers What Do You Expect? | Teaching Development Seminars and
Workshops
The Centre organizes and sponsors regular seminars on issues related to teaching and learning. These seminars provide academic colleagues with the opportunity to explore matters related to teaching effectiveness and to consider these issues with colleagues within and outside their own discipline and department. Presentations by guest speakers are also arranged. The Centre works with academic units to identify areas which might usefully be addressed in a workshop setting, to recommend workshop formats and training strategies, and to suggest other relevant campus resources. |
