In Visual Studies at Lingnan there is an attempt to complement on-campus teaching and learning with various types of learning fostered through off-campus activities. As a result a number of internships have been developed. Visual Studies has one full-time member of staff on hand to oversee existing internships and to develop new ones.
Students are currently able to avail themselves of a number of internships, some of them non-credit-bearing, one of them credit-bearing.
Non-Credit-Bearing Internships
Macao Art Museum (non-salaried, but with the provision of housing)
1a space ambassador scheme (salaried)
Ying E Chi
Credit-Bearing Internships
This internship with 1a space, located in Hong Kong’s Cattle Depot, involves a substantial amount of work, comparable to a full programme elective. It is scheduled during the summer and assessment of work carried out in connection with the internship is the joint responsibility of our Visual Studies Internship Coordinator, Zoie SO, and a designated member of 1a space. The syllabus for this credit-bearing internship course can be found here.
For further information about our internships, please contact Zoie SO. You are also very welcome to contact Ms SO, or any other member of staff, if you have ideas about internships you would like to see us develop.
