Notes:

1. Students will only be recommended for graduation after the successful completion of all academic, English language and/or co-curricular requirements by the cut-off date specified for each term above. If you have not fulfilled all these requirements (including having an I-grade in one or more courses) or if the credits from your student exchange programme(s) have not been transferred to your undergraduate programme for fulfilment of your graduation requirement at Lingnan University by the cut-off date, your graduation will be evaluated at the end of the subsequent term in which you have fulfilled all requirements.

The English and Chinese names (if any) of students in the Banner system will be used for the printing of graduation certificates.  If any change is necessary, a student should submit the application for change of personal particulars* together with the required supporting document(s) before the cut-off date for graduation evaluation for the term concerned.  Changes made after that date will not be incorporated into the graduation certificates.

(* Undergraduate students should submit their applications for change of personal particulars via the University portal: Academics > Banner Self-Services for Academics > Update of Personal Particulars.)

2.  For students approved by the University to graduate for each term, the graduation information will be released on this date.  The transcripts issued since this date will clearly indicate the graduation information (including degree classification, graduation confirmation date and degree conferment date) and can serve as a proof of graduation.  A student copy of transcript with graduation information included will be sent to students approved to graduate before the date of Issuance of Graduation Certificates for the term concerned. Students should update their address via the University portal (Academics > Banner Self-Services for Academics > Update of Personal Particulars) before the date of release of graduation information if necessary. The address provided by students in the system will be used for the mailing of the transcript.

3.  The certificates of graduation for each term (bearing the corresponding conferment date) will be available for collection during office hours within one year from the date of award conferment.
