Vision and Mission

As a long-standing research unit in the Faculty of Business, HKIBS aims to promote innovative and interdisciplinary research in the areas of business and pursue knowledge transfer. It provides full support for a wide range of research and knowledge transfer activities. By continuously increasing the research capacity of the Faculty, HKIBS aims to become a research centre of high international standing in business studies in the not too distant future.

Our objectives are as follows:

• Setting up a research network to find resources for supporting research programmes of the Faculty;
• Creating an environment for productive interdisciplinary research;
• Stimulating innovative research through timely discussions of latest findings at seminars and conferences;
• Developing strategic partnerships with international institutions through research projects for knowledge generation and transfer; and
• Providing professional development programmes for business leaders and practitioners in Hong Kong and Mainland China.
