Application Fees

For 2019-20 Academic Year:

Online Application

22 October 2018 - 15 April 2019: HK$150 for each programme choice
16 April - 10 July 2019 (Late Application): HK$200 for each programme choice

Applicants can settle the application fee by using a VISA/MasterCard credit card or UnionPay credit/debit card. You will receive an acknowledgement by email once you have paid and submitted your application online.


Tuition Fee

For non-local students#, the tuition fee for 2019-20 academic year is HK$140,000.

Tuition fee is normally payable in two equal instalments before the start of the first and second terms of an academic year.

# Non-local students are holders of:
  a) Student visa / Entry permit
  b) Visa / Entry permit under the Immigration Arrangements for Non-local Graduates (IANG)
  c) Dependant visa / Entry permit who were 18 years old or above when they were issued with such visa / entry permit by the Director of Immigration of the HKSAR (This definition has been reviewed and redefined by the Education Bureau (EDB) in November 2018.)

Hostel Fee

The hostel fee for 2019-20 academic year excluding the summer term ranges from HK$9,660 to HK$13,080 per year (subject to confirm).

Graduation Deposit
A deposit of HK$600 is payable by all students on first registration.       

Students’ Union Membership Fees^
      - Entry Fee (payable by new members):  HK$97     
      - Annual Subscription Fee:  HK$133


Lingnan University Students’ Union (SU) membership fees include an entry fee and an annual fee, which apply to all its members.  All full-time postgraduate, undergraduate and associate degree students are eligible for membership.  Lingnan University SU is an independent registered organisation which enjoys its own management autonomy and it is not part of the University structure.  The collection of SU’s membership fees by the University is a service provided by the University.  All enquiries on SU membership (including payment of fees and procedures for withdrawal and refund) should be directed to SU [Tel: 2454 1111; Email:; Address: 2/F, Amenities Building (Office Hours: 11:30am-5:30pm from Monday to Friday)].
