Diverse career prospects and professional qualifications

Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB)

Graduates of the BBA (Hons) - RIM are well prepared for challenging roles with insurance companies, banks and other financial institutions. They often find positions as

  • insurance underwriters,
  • claim officers,
  • insurance product developers,
  • brokers,
  • bankers, or
  • non-insurance-related administrators.

The programme leads to both a BBA (Hons) degree and the DipCII on graduation. The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) grants up to 100 diploma credits and 30 certificate credits. So, if a student has earned 100 credits by taking two CII exams - Insurance Law and Business - they will be awarded the DipCII.

Graduates are also eligible for Senior Associate membership of the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF). Separately, they are exempted from two of the four papers of the Hong Kong Diploma in Insurance Studies overseen by The Insurance Institute of Hong Kong (IIHK) and from attendance at certain modules for the CFP examination managed by the Institute of Financial Planners of Hong Kong (IFPHK).
