Through challenging courses, research and seminars, our undergraduate students investigate political issues from different perspectives and acquire solid knowledge and analytical skills to meet the needs of the rapidly changing world. Our alumni have used their knowledge and skills in different careers such as working in the government, non-governmental organizations, and the private sector. Some of them have chosen to pursue postgraduate studies in prestigious institutions in Hong Kong and abroad.
The University and the Department of Government and International Affairs offer a variety of internship and exchange opportunities for undergraduate students. The Office of Global Education, for example, seeks to provide over 80 percent of students with the opportunity to study abroad or in the Mainland China for one academic term or in summer/winter programs. Some courses offered by the Department of Government and International Affairs provide students with the opportunity to participate in internships in non-governmental organizations in Hong Kong.
