HSE Committee would like to update colleagues and students on the following:

In view of the continued deterioration of the epidemic situation, the Government strongly urges the public to stay at home as much as possible, go out less unless necessary, and avoid dining out. The Government will extend the existing social distancing measures till July 28, including imposing stringent limits on number of persons and capacity, and other infection control requirements on catering business and requiring the closure of 12 types of scheduled premises.

In addition, the prohibition of group gatherings of more than four persons in public places will continue to be effective until July 28.

The Committee strongly advises all stakeholders to maintain at all times strict personal and environmental hygiene, wear masks and dispose the mask properly, reduce the frequency of visiting and time staying at common facilities, maintain an appropriate social distance with other people as far as possible in daily lives and avoid meal gatherings or any other activities which cannot wear a mask. All stakeholders should also perform hand hygiene frequently, especially before touching the mouth, nose or eyes.

In order to minimize the risk of community transmission, the Committee strongly advises all stakeholders that if they have to undergo compulsory quarantine, please stay at home or place of residency for 14 days before coming back to the campus.

Students and colleagues should not come to the campus if they are requested to take the COVID-19 test by CHP or their home-mates are undergoing mandatory quarantine. The same measure has been implemented for our outsourced contractors and guests.
