The University has been informed today that an undergraduate student of the Faculty of Social Sciences has tested positive for COVID-19. The student is not a hall resident and has not entered the LU campus since 24 January 2022.

The University also received a report that a postgraduate student of the Faculty of Business has been classified as a suspected case for COVID-19 last night. The student is living with some postgraduate students off campus, and has not attended any face to face classes recently. According to the information available, the student was on campus from 5 to 9 February and visited rooms SEK G02 and SEK 112 at Simon and Eleanor Kwok Building and the Library.

A thorough disinfection of those venues has been carried out.

You are strongly urged to maintain strict personal and environmental hygiene at all times, wear masks, and reduce social contact and avoid meal gatherings.

We wish the students a speedy recovery.
