The Hong Kong Zheng Artist Association
Description
In this concert, the tutors from the Hong Kong Zheng Artist Association will present a few traditional master pieces of Zheng music and demonstrate the use of Gu Zheng in playing modern music. The audience of the concert will be able to appreciate the beauty of Zheng music and understand an old Chinese musical instrument from a new perspective, and start to develop a passion for Gu Zheng.
About The Hong Kong Zheng Artist Association
The Hong Kong Zheng Artist Association, established in 1994, is a government registered non-profit cultural organization. The Association aims at uniting all those who love the arts of Gu Zheng to actively promote Zheng music education and to enrich the cultural life of the general public. It upholds the spirit of “People Oriented” and has been organizing Gu Zheng courses in various districts throughout the territory. So far, the Association has nurtured over tens of thousands of Zheng enthusiasts. The Association has now developed into a worldwide academic coalition of Zheng arts with branches in Europe and other countries. Regular academic exchanges and joint performances are organized every year.
