簡介:
非物質文化遺產的保存及發展是近年藝人、學者及政策制定者關注的熱門課題。例戲為粵劇的文化瑰寶,其百年古貌一直由藝人承傳下來。香港的神功演出至今仍然沿襲以例戲揭開序幕的百年傳統。《八仙賀壽》、《加官》及《天姬大送子》三齣例戲每於神誕正日日戲演出前依次搬演。現存曲譜及口述歷史記錄的研究揭示,例戲中的部分片段在半世紀多之前的演出被刪除了。少數資深演員及樂師在不同程度上記得這些瀕臨失傳的例戲版本的演出規範。

研究及節目策劃將探討粵劇例戲的來源、風格特徵及文化意義,並交代如何透過學術研究,為業界重構及重現部分瀕臨失傳的粵劇傳統略盡綿力。

林萬儀,現任嶺南大學群芳文化研究及發展部副研究員,文化研究系兼任講師,參與《中國戲曲志》、《中國戲曲音樂集成》、《中國曲藝音樂集成》及《中國民族民間器樂曲集成》(香港卷)編纂計劃,任副主編。

Introduction
The preservation and development of intangible cultural heritage has been a hot issue among artists, scholars and policymakers in recent years. Routine play in Cantonese opera is a treasure trove of cultural heritage, preserved in its century-old form by artists. The custom of raising the curtain of a performance with routine plays can still be seen regularly in ritual performances in Hong Kong. The Eight Immortals Bestowing Longevity, Blessing of Promotion, and the Grand Scale Version of The Heavenly Maiden Delivers Her Son to the Mortal Father are scheduled to be staged respectively during daytime on the main festival day in a series of ritual performances. Documented oral history studies and the surviving musical notations suggest that some segments of the routine plays have been omitted in performance for more than half a century. Few experienced actors and musicians still remember (at least partially to different extents) the performance conventions of the almost lost versions of the routine plays.

About the Speaker
Lum Man-yee is currently Research Associate of the Kwan Fong Cultural Research & Development Programme and part-time lecturer of Department of Cultural Studies at Lingnan University; deputy chief editor of Annals of Chinese Opera, Anthology of Chinese Opera Music, Anthology of Chinese Narrative Sing and Anthology of Chinese Folk and Ethnic Instrumental Music: The Hong Kong Volume.
