Description
In the increasing use of network technology in personal communication, governmental processes, and institutional operations, never has information been so readily accessible, misinformation so easily disseminated, nor infrastructure so invisible. Within the context of his own work, Douglas Stichbury will discuss the way in which drawing might be used as a vehicle for discussing the everyday spaces and events that cannot be seen but still directly impact our lives. Stichbury will also consider how traditional drawing practice can be augmented by the possibilities of new technology and the way that new tools may help in speculating on an alternative future, or reimagined past.
