2020年5月7日

The HKSAR Government will relax some of the social distancing measures in relation to catering business, scheduled premises and group gathering in public places. The latest measures will come into effect from May 8, 2020 for 14 days till May 21, 2020.

In light of the more stabilised situation in Hong Kong in terms of the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the recent weeks and the 'suppress and lift' strategy adopted to contain the epidemic, a window of opportunity exists to lift some of the social distancing measures at the moment. Please refer to https://www.info.gov.hk/gia/general/202005/05/P2020050500874.htm for the key requirements under the latest measures.

The Committee advises all stakeholders to maintain at all times strict personal and environmental hygiene, wear masks, reduce the frequency of visiting and time staying at common facilities, maintain an appropriate social distance with other people as far as possible in daily lives and avoid meal gatherings or any other activities which cannot wear a mask. All stakeholders should also perform hand hygiene frequently, especially before touching the mouth, nose or eyes.
