Marco obtained his MPhil (Psychology) degree from Lingnan University. He served as a graduate tutor in Research Method and Statistics for Psychology I at the Department of Applied Psychology, Lingnan University. He was keen on providing individual or small-group support to students. Other than teaching, Marco conducted research about the enhancement of auditory display for patient monitoring with reference to the principles of memory and attention. He, and his supervisors, published the results in a peer-reviewed journal.

In addition to academic works, Marco is enthusiastic in User Experience Design. He conducted user interviews and usability testing. He also created prototypes using an interface design tool called Figma.
