有影响力的研究有助塑造工作文化

 

无论他们的研究领域是什么,学术界前线的每一位学者都有类似的雄心,都希望自己的研究工作能够受到关注,并产生影响,但在众多研究项目都在争取关注和发表的时候,这并不容易。

 

然而,岭南大学通过精心挑选和提供支持,找到方法可以将其教授和研究团队的突破性研究工作让广大的国际读者知悉。

 

这一点不仅从文章被引用次数、颁授的奖项数目和受邀在有影响力的学术活动上发言的次数可以证实,而且还在许多备受重视的排行榜上的优秀成绩得到证实,这些排行榜定期比较亚洲和世界各地高等院校的相对优势。

 

事实上,在2022年中发布的最新泰晤士报高等教育(THE)影响力排名中,岭大在“优质教育”方面排名世界第三。在大中华区,即包括大陆、澳门和台湾,岭大在整体影响力方面名列前十名。它在促进 “体面工作和经济增长”方面的研究工作排名第六。 “体面工作和经济增长”是联合国17个可持续发展目标(SDG)之一,旨在于未来几十年改善每个人的生活。

 

作为第八个可持续发展目标,“体面工作和经济增长”目的是在不同国家和社区促进可持续和具包容性的经济增长。

 

这项目标的重点要求社会创造条件,让大家有良好的工作机会并获得公平的报酬,而且有机会为自己和家人实现更好的前景。

 

岭大从两个不同的层面去体现这个目标。一个是建立管治架构和运作模式,以确保校内工作人员的福祉,并确保毕业的学生会在投入职场前做好充分的准备。

 

另一个层面是开展各项研究,探索当前经济模式和工作场所中的各种现象并形成有影响力的研究成果。

 

这些现象包括企业领导力、压力管理和心理健康,以及因为科技的发展淘汰了许多传统的工作,那些仍然处于或接近金字塔底部的工人的福利和工作条件。

 

通过研究这些与第八项可持续发展目标相关的主题及其影响,学者们有机会与社会接触,并通过知识转移施加影响。这可以带来真正的改变,并在香港和海外留下持久的影响,岭大最近开展的一些研究就证明了这一点。

 

例如,管理学系王楠教授提出的研究项目:“危机事件后员工表现的个人内部动力”,就是一个几乎所有雇主在新冠疫情之后都要面对的问题。

 

同样来自管理学系的陈婷婷教授一直在研究三个截然不同但又互相关连的课题。一个是“工作中的员工沉默”,以及对上司、同事和团队生产力的影响。第二个课题从自我验证或自我提升两个方向去理解自我表现和真正的领导力对企业信任和绩效的影响。第三个课题是研究不同风格的领导力如何增强组织的竞争优势,并从现有的“人力资本”中获取更多。

 

也是来自管理学系的李娜教授一直就香港和其他地方共有的主题进行研究。一个典型的例子是关于互联网在员工日常工作中所扮演的角色及对工作成果影响的研究。另一个例子是研究在现代城市环境中快递员如何面对社交媒体上的帖子和每天受到的客户欺凌。李教授现在已经开始研究一个“双重策略模式”,探讨资历过高的员工如何可以成为一个有效的领导者。

 

岭大许多与第八项可持续发展目标相关的跨学科研究项目也在进行当中。

 

应用心理学系的张宇乐教授正在进行一项试点研究,探讨本地和中国大陆新移民在职业健康方面的差异。经济学系的一个小组正在研究香港目前的竞争政策是否能够应对与大湾区经济日益融合的挑战。而文化研究系的潘毅教授正在领导一个关于“移民、流动性和劳工”的研究项目。

 

潘教授的研究目的是要检讨现行的工作条件和措施,以保护中国大陆农民工的利益。研究将特别关注较新的经济范畴,例如物流、高速铁路服务的发展和线上平台。这将有助于理解在中国不断发展的“基础设施资本主义 ”背景下中国的新工人阶级。
