Biography

Danny is a first-year MPhil student in sociology. He graduated from Lingnan with a major in sociology and a minor in Hong Kong studies in 2022. His research interests may include nationalism, historical sociology, and sociology of sports. The Socratic teaching method that he experienced from Bard Berlin formulated his teaching passion for guiding tutorials at Lingnan. His non-intellectual life revolves around yo-yoing and stream-hiking. Competitive yo-yoing is a sport that he has been practicing for more than 8 years, a lifestyle sport/subculture that renders him to step out of his comfort zone, from travelling alone for international competition at 16, to interning at a sports NGO, yo-yoing has become part of his life.
