E-learning will be adopted during the suspension. Details will be announced by individual faculty/department/programme later.

Operations of all academic and non-academic departments/offices/units will resume after the public holidays of the Chinese New Year (29 January 2020).

All student activities in the Mainland in Term 2, including exchange, internship and study tours, will also be cancelled.

Student residents who return from Hubei without any respiratory symptoms are requested to temporarily reside in single rooms, put on surgical masks and monitor body temperature for 14 days.

Also, the following measures have been implemented immediately on campus:

  1. Apply body temperature check for everyone at all campus access points, including student hostels.
  2. Increase frequency of disinfective cleaning of public facilities with diluted bleach. Lift panels and lift buttons will be cleaned per 2 hours.
  3. Suspend drinking fountains.
  4. Students can obtain masks at counter of each hostel block and campus access points.

The University will closely monitor the situation and promulgate corresponding arrangements as and when necessary. Further adjustments to the academic calendar would be announced as necessary.
