4-13 March 2015 Exhibition by Nepalese artist Dipendra RAI

Guest of Honor Mr. Mahesh Prasad Dahal, Consul General of Nepal, and Professor Shalandra Sharma, Acting Vice-President of Lingnan Univerity, will officiate this Ceremony. Mr.Rai's unique artwork is done in ballpen (not oil or water colour). He is famous for his portraiture, but also does Nepalese scenery.

EO Awareness Week organized by LU-EOC and LU Gardeners
Kick-Off Ceremony

Guests of Honor, Dr. York Chow, Chairman of the Equal Opportunities Commission of Hong Kong, and Prof. Leonard Cheng, President of Lingnan University, will officially inaugurate the LU-Equal Opportunity Committee. There will also be a formal launch of the LU-EOC website and an announcement of the winners for the Slogan and Logo Design Competition. Other highlights of this event will include exhibition booths and performances including:

  • Standup comedy by Vivek Mabubhani
  • Singing performance by Wong Ming Yan
  • African drumming performed by representatives of HK Christian Action
  • TAC Funky Dance performed by representatives of OSL, LU students, women and elderly persons in the community

The Exhibition will feature the works of over 80 artists from visual and performing arts classes in various art forms including paintings, ceramics, Chinese calligraphy, dance, percussions and Saori weaving.

Topic: Overcome the Barrier of Visual Disability

A visually impaired young person, Mr. Ho will share his learning & work experience. Mr. Ho will demonstrate the importance of barrier-free facilities on campus by way of promoting student awareness of equality in communication.

Partner organization: Centre for Community Cultural Development with Guest Speaker: Mr. Terry Tsoi
5 short films produced by local and overseas deaf filmmakers will be screened. Following this there will be a sharing session, chaired by one of the filmmakers Mr. Terry Tsoi, who will discuss the things that have inspired him in film.
