Library Matters
Arrangements during Renovation
After planning for years and preparing for months, the Library renovation was finally kick-started in mid-December 2020. While the whole 1/F of the Library is closed for the renovation and some facilities and services were not available or affected, the Library is still open to serve your needs.
The main entrance on the 1/F was closed. A
temporary entrance on the 2/F has been opened and all Library users have to use this entrance to enter and leave the Library. |
After serving for 25 years, the 1/F Circulation Counter
was shut down. Our temporary Service Counter has been set up on the 2/F next to the temporary entrance to provide the same level of service as previously did. |
Public Computers, dedicated database workstations
and MFP equipment at the Chiang Chen Information Commons (IC) are reprovisioned in the 2/F MLLC and other areas in the Library. |
Some books and bookshelves are being relocated to
the 2/F or 3/F, or to storage area. Library users are recommended to check the books’ availability and/or make requests on 1-Search before coming to the Library. |
The entire renovation project will last for about eight months and is expected to be completed by August 2021. We are looking forward to bring you a new learning experience in the Library after the renovation.
