Year 1 and Year 2 Intakes

Please follow the following procedures to complete academic advising before Online Course Registration. If you have not completed academic advising procedures successfully, you are not allowed to register courses for Term 1 and Term 2, 2022-23 during the Online Course Registration.

Step 1: Watch the Video of New Student Advising and read the Academic Advising Document (For Year 1 entry / For Year 2 entry) carefully.

Step 2: Input your Study Plan for coming academic year (i.e. Term 1 and Term 2, 2021-22) via DegreeWorks.

Step 3: Submit the screenshot of your saved study plan to the responsible staff at the Office of the Faculty of Social Sciences by email (chunhocheung2@LN.edu.hk) before 21 August 2022. New Year 1 and Year 2 BSocSc students are not required to contact your academic adviser individually.

Step 4: Register courses for Term 1 and Term 2, 2022-23 in the online registration system during Online Course Registration on 23 August 2022 (for Year 2 entry) or 24 August 2022 (for Year 1 entry).

[Late-admitted students who receive an offer after 17 August 2022 and students who miss the Online Registration on 23/24 August 2022 are required to complete academic advising and save your study plan before registering your courses for Term 1 during the Add/drop Period of Term 1, 2022-23 (i.e. 29 August - 7 September 2022).]

Year 3 (Senior Year) Intake

You are required to complete the Academic Advising successfully as follows. If you have not completed academic advising procedures successfully, you are not allowed to register courses for Term 1 and Term 2, 2022-23 during the Online Course Registration.

Please observe the following dates for completing the Academic Advising and Course Registration.

For students who receive an offer on or before 17 August

Academic Advising Period
8 – 22 August

Course Registration Date
23 August

For other students
(Late-admitted students who receive an offer after 17 August and students who miss the Online Registration on 23 August)

Academic Advising Period
25 August – 7 September

Add Drop Period
29 August – 7 September (Only register Term 1 courses)

Step 1	Read this Academic Advising Document for details of the Academic Advising (for senior year students).
Step 2	Input and save the courses you plan to take in T1 and T2 at the Study Plan via the DegreeWorks.
Step 3	Invite your Academic Adviser to approve your Study Plan by email.
Step 4	Follow the time slots above to complete the Course Registration.
