“In the art world, process is more important than the outcome.” This is what I have learnt from my undergraduate studies. It means a lot to me.

If I hadn’t got the opportunity of joining the internship program provided by our department, I couldn’t have developed an art-related career. It gave me a wide social network and a brand-new art world. Between 2015 and 2017 I complete a Master of Arts in Fine Arts at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. I am currently working as an Art Development Officer at the TWGHs Jockey Club Sunshine Complex for the Elderly.

During my undergraduate studies, the professors at the Visual Studies programme had strongly influenced me, they really inspired me a lot. They made me understand that Art is not always done behind closed doors but it could connect everyone’s heart and become a kind of language for communication. Our department is very unique and distinct. Although our department does not aim at training our art skills and professional techniques, our mind are cultivated to appreciate things from innovative angles.

Even I had graduated from the Lingnan University more than three years ago, I keep close contact with our VS professors who are still my “life mentors”, they always give advice and assistance to me whenever it is necessary. They make me feel that I will always be part of the “VS family”.
